Manœuvres

A construction site in the kitchen

‘Manœuvres’ is a performance conceived for Grand Paris Express and Le 104. It turns the construction site into a laboratory for experimental cooking and sound. Against a musical backdrop, the amplified sounds of tools ‘played’ live create a piece of music. The group consists of hybrid characters, at once workers, musicians and cooks, repurposing construction tools as kitchen instruments to make bites offered to the audience.

From tools to bites

‘Carottage’: cream blended with a mixer, crumble made in a concrete mixer, a carrot key shaped with a pillar drill.

‘Agglo’: compressed brioche mixed in a concrete mixer and compacted with a plastering trowel, butter melted with a heat gun, chocolate shavings cut with a jigsaw, caramel shards…
