Materials to Simmer
Immersive scenography
Scenography for the exhibition ‘Materials to Simmer’ at Maif Social Club. Exploring food, the exhibition brings together 11 international artists around the theme of food autonomy. This immersive scenography treats visitors themselves as ‘ingredients to simmer’, playing with shifts in scale, materials and textures associated with kitchens, such as copper, cast iron and stainless steel. Labels appear on tea towels and measuring scales, while seats become saucepan lids.
13 at the Table
Alongside the exhibition, the artists devised ‘13 at the Table’, an original artistic and culinary format, with curator Anne-Sophie Bérard and the young chef duo Création à la Racine. An unconventional, poetic and flavoursome experience extending the reflection on the artworks.
